If Google is saying they will make AR experiences seem much more realistic in the future, I believe it (and can´t wait to see more recent examples).
And the best part I believe is the ability to do this with an optimized existing software. We all know the capability to AR could be a barrier but if they are working with already existing phones that supports ARCore (as most of all recent Androids already do) and not relying on any help from the cloud, it would be much easier and assessible for (almost) everyone.
